Sushi restaurant, Japanese cocktail bar planned for Montrose’s Autry Park development

The Houston hospitality group responsible for several Japanese restaurants will open two new concepts this fall at Autry Parkthe mixed-use urban development at Shepherd and West Dallas.

Duckstache Hospitality, the team behind Handies DouzoAikoHimari and Kokoro restaurants, announced it will debut Doko, a sushi restaurant, and Bar Doko, a Japanese cocktail bar, on the ground floor of the Hanover Parkview midrise apartment building at Autry Park. Both projects are scheduled to open in the fall.

“Autry Park is an amazing opportunity to continue to showcase our culinary creativity in a unique setting,” said Duckstache co-founder Andrew Lin working with co-founder C.J. Short and Doko co-owners and co-head chefs Patrick Pham and Daniel Lee.

Doko will offer Japanese-focused sushi including daily selections of nigiri flown in from Toyosu Market in Japan. The intimate, 600-square-foot Bar Doko, the hospitality group’s first bar, will serve a curated menu of Japanese-inspired specialty cocktails.

Doko and Bar Doko will open at Autry Park this fall.
