As seen in Houston Chronicle: Vegetable-centric restaurant with Buffalo Bayou views to open in Montrose’s Autry Park

A new vegetable-centric restaurant, Auden, will open at Autry Park in Montrose in spring 2022.

Auden is the first concept of the newly created Nitecap Hospitality group, led by husband-and-wife team Kirthan and Kripa Shenoy.

The Shenoys spent years working in Michelin-starred restaurants in New York City, including chef Michael White’s Altamarea Group. This venture is a homecoming for Kirthan, who is from Houston. He will serve as executive chef and Kripa will be the executive pastry chef.

“We’re thrilled to open our first concept in my hometown, and to have it located in Autry Park, which promises to become a hotspot for local culinary talent,” said Kirthan in a statement. “Auden means ‘old friend,’ and we hope the approachable and relatable dishes we’ll serve evoke feelings of familiarity and comfort in both the hearts and stomachs of our guests.”
